Try telling that to Nicholas and Lola Kampf. The Kampfs are facing kidnapping charges for driving their 19-year-old daughter to New York and attempting to force her to have an abortion?
For decades, only one squad in Washington handled corruption cases because the crimes were seen as local offenses handled by FBI field offices in lawmakers’ home districts.
But in recent years, the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal and other abuses of power and privilege have prompted the FBI to assign 37 agents full-time to three new squads in an office near Capitol Hill.
FBI Assistant Director Chip Burrus told The News Monday that he wants to detail even more agents to the Washington field office for a fourth corruption squad because so much wrongdoing is being uncovered.
I am certain that this image represents a more happy time in the life of Maurice Clarett. It was a time where, as a freshman, he was a key part of a National Title team. Unfortunately, this is all but a memory.
In what caps off a wild spiraling-down of a promising sports career, Clarett will spend at least the next 3 1/2 years behind bars for a Jan 2006 armed robbery. Clarett should probably count his blessings — had he not agreed to a plea, he could have faced up to 34 years behind bars. Read More… »
As you should know, a genocide is raging in Darfur, Sudan.
Estimates say that between 200,000 - 400,000 people have been killed and over 2.5 million people have been driven from their homes. Men and boys are routinely killed and women and girls are mercilessly raped by the Janjaweed militias who are backed by the Sudanese government.

It looks like there’s some drama in the Pittsburgh area to report. Late last month, a mother says that, on her way to a Pee Wee football game with her two daughters, their car was stopped and the officer drew a gun on her 7-year-old daughter.
Pamela Lawton says that her daughter, Joshalyn, age 7, had a gun pointed at her by Officer Eric Tatusko for 20-30 minutes. Not once during this encounter did Officer Tatusko inform them of why he was stopping them or come around to the driver’s side to talk to the mother. Read More… »
What would you call a place where 13,000,000 children went to bed hungry in 2004, where the infant mortality ranks 43rd in the world and where over 40% of certain ethnic children are “chronically hungry”? You would call it America.
Back in April of this year, I decided it was time to stop posting articles at blackmystory.com. I had become bored with the way I was doing the site because I had ceased to express myself. I had a blog on the site and, honestly, I really enjoyed posting my thoughts. It was very cathartic and helped me articulate some of the madness I was seeing around me.
So, what did I do? I archived the old site and launched a fresh, new black…MYstory. This time, it will be more about my views and opinions, rather than just me posting the articles of the day. If you like it, let me know. Hell, if you don’t like it, let me know!
At any rate, welcome (back)! I’m charged up and ready to go!
