So, will we finally get some answers on the 2004 election in Ohio?
With any luck, yes.
In Cleveland, OH, three election workers are on trial for alleged vote-rigging in regards to the 2004 presidential election in Cuyahoga County.
Prosecutors are not saying that the workers had political motives for rigging the vote or that their actions changed the course of the election. Instead, prosecutors say that laziness what let the workers to not do due diligence in regards to the recount and a job that should have taken weeks was done in one day.
Those facing charges are Jacqueline Maiden (County Elections Board Coordinator), Rosie Grier (Manager of the Ballot Department) and Kathleen Dreamer (Assistant Manager). Each faces six counts of misconduct.
I believe that Ohio’s vote problems were much greater than just this group but, hopefully, it helps to get to the bottom of this fiasco.
