Black New Orleans residents have seen injustice after injustice in their quests to rebuild their lives. First, you have a federal government that sat on its hands while people died in the streets. Then you have the promises to these people that they would be made whole all but ignored (oh, I forgot, there is some aid in the war supplemental bill that the President is going to veto but, the Republican talking head call such aid “pork”). Now, they are facing a new challenge: racial discrimination when trying to rent property.
The Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center sent in “testers” posing as potential renters and found that, in 57.5% of the time, the potential black renters were discriminated against. Of course, the landlords’ and real estate investors’ associations have no comment on all of this.
The Fair Housing action center has indicated that it does intend to sue several of these landlords.

Maybe now the blacks are experiencing the feeling that my White family from the 9th ward(in the 60’s when most of New Orleans was white; as in white flight) felt when they had to move because blacks moved into their neighborhoods at an alarming rate and infested their neighborhoods with crime that they didn’t want to raise their children around and forced to relocate to St. Bernard Parish. My family lived in New Orleans since the 1700’s and my people built that city and I couldn’t even go in most neighborhoods. The house in the neighborhood that my dad lived in, in the 9th ward was very nice and the neighborhood was cleaned and well maintained(as with most white neighborhoods; we have pictures) and he took me there in his car in 1992 when I was younger to show me his family home and it was in ruins and the whole neighborhood was in ruins like it was ancient or something,it was a shame to see that my dad’s face was very sad on that day, I remember it. Just as we were pulling up to that house some black guy was knocking on the car window trying to sell us crack, and a block away were young black girls selling their bodies for crack.It was a nightmare. That is what happened to my dad’s family house. I believe that the city of New Orleans should have a significant population of White, and Black. Blacks must share the city because us local whites have as much if not more right to that city than them. Give us our half and they take their half, but then when they destroy their half they will want to move into ours. This is the story of America. Go figure
Robert, I find it funny that you use words like “infested”. It tell me that you simply don’t like black people and want to project the actions of a few on the whole. Most black people go to work and pay bills, like most other Americans. And, believe it or not, there are white drug dealers and most addicts in this country are white people. So, the scourge of drugs touches all races and ethnicities.

The fact of the matter is that you are trying to intellectualize your own racism. Unfortunately for you, you’re doing a very poor job of it.
First of all I and my family have the money to live in those areas, but a few reasons would not allow it: The first being that blacks there are the most racist that I have encountered in my life; they would initiate any first action of racism. Second, the crime in those neighborhoods are not condusive to living a normal, safe, life. Third, they don’t believe in maintenance of the appearance of the houses, the streets or the neighborhoods. I am not racist, I am just a realist. If it was the Japanese people living like this and acting this way I would be here speaking about them; but its not. Also, it is not a few people doing this and living in this manner, because if it was then that would not be enough to have a significant impact on the neighborhoods. There are MANY. I only speak of what my eyes see. My father lived there with an entire neighborhood of whites back in the 60’s and the neighborhood didn’t look like that and it was a safe place, and they were poor so you can’t blame it on poverty. Yes there are many poor whites in the trailer parks, but the crime rate is not anywhere near the crime rates in the ghetto; throughout the country. I only speak on what my eyes see. We built that city, we named it, the language was and is ours, we founded it, so I believe we have a right to be there. And if they knock down projects to build condos, then so be it. First of all, If alot of people are saying this it must be true; if the shoe fits wear it. The black community has the highest crime rates in the country by far of any race. If you live in a black community that has low crime then applaud yourself for you have found one that is not crime infested; rare. Even middle class black neighborhoods have more crime than middle class neighborhoods of any race. You should have seen “middle class black New Orleans East” it was a society where everyone had it a little nicer than the ghetto, but there was still plenty crime; and the neighborhoods did not resemble the clean, manicured neighborhoods of whites on the other side of town of the same pay scale. Blacks DO have a crime culture and this becomes fact from opinion by nationwide statistics and surveys. I know the truth hurts, but you have to admit there is a problem before you can fix it. Actually, if you referred to actual crime statistics instead of generalizations you would know that more violent crime in America is actually perpetrated by white people (Dept. of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Statistics, Criminal Victimization

Again, because you rely on racist notions, as opposed to the actual numbers, you think that you can paint a group of people with a broad brush. Sorry but, you, sir, are a racist. You can try to justify any way you want but, until you deal with that part of who you are, you can never begin to see what the real issues are.
First of all, you must be very stupid to post this report, because if you notice that in that report on page 23, it says the White population is 200,263,410 and the Black population is 29,477,880, and out of 8 catagories of crime, Black percentage of crime is higher than White in 6 of the 8 catagories. That says right there that Blacks are a higher risk of crime. It also says per 1000 people, and if you take into consideration of the population of the U.S., which is 302,359,082 and counting, a higher percentage means that for every 1000 people that there are in the U.S.(you know how many times 1000 goes into 302,359,082) Blacks are commiting crimes based on the total population. So, that means for a Black population of 13% versus a White population of 74%, Whites make up 2/3 of the population, but that 13% of the population commits more crimes in 6 catagories out of 8 catagories of crime than more than 2/3 of the population; I would say that Blacks commit WAY MORE crimes than Whites.
Also, if you notice on page 30 of that report, percentages of Black on Black crime are much higher than White on White crime. The reason for this is that mostly Blacks live around Blacks and Whites live around Whites. If Whites and Blacks lived together, then the Black percentage of crime would be higher than Whites in interracial crime, since that report shows that Blacks have a higher crime percentage than Whites against themselves(because of direct daily contact with each other). Also, the information chart on page 30 does not give a per population rate(such as per 1000 people)so that means it is based on the total population and again that 13% having such a high number is convincing.
Also, if you notice, the percentage of Black on White crime is higher in percentage numbers than White on Black crime; you need to know how to read a chart, lol. If you notice on page 35 of that report, the total percentage of violence is higher for Blacks than Whites. The Black percentage is 33.9% and the White is 28.8% and this chart also does not include a per population number(such as per 1000) so again that 13% Black population of the country is at work again. Listen, if 13% of the population(which I’m sure the actual number of people commiting the crime is smaller, because not everyone in the 13% is commiting a crime, which would make a smaller Black population responsible for 33.9 percent of the crime in the U.S., then that means Black crime is happening at a higher rate than initially perceived, i.e. higher percentage of Black crime than any other race in America by leaps and bounds.)
So, if 13 percent(probably less noting a percentage of the 13% are criminals) of the population is commiting 33.9% of the total crimes of the total population, then that my friend, is a crime culture to people that must have a genetic programming to commit crimes at a higher rate than any race on the planet, atleast in this country, and from the looks of Haiti, Jamaice, and Africa, then the world too.
By the way may I add that the nation has 2.2 million prisoners in their jails, and about half of the prisoners are Black and with only about 30 million of you, that’s an astounding 3% of African Americans, counting all ages and both sexes, languishing behind bars, with a roughly equal number on probation, parole, house arrest or other court supervision. Almost one in three 18-year-old Black males across the board is likely to catch a felony conviction, and in some communities nearly half the black male workforce under 40 have criminal records. A felony conviction in America is a stunningly accurate predictor of a life of insecure employment at poverty-level wages and no health care, of fragile family ties, of low educational attainment and limited or no civic participation, and a strong likelihood of re-imprisonment.
Each month, tens of thousands of jobless, skill-less, stigmatized and often anti-socialized ex-prisoners are released back into communities and commit crimes again only to be jailed one more time. I would say the Black community is embarrassing itself nationwide in front of all the other races in this country, and highly due to the media, the world as well. I would be concerned about this if I were you. But, rather than take responsibility like you should, the black community points the finger and gives the blame, no wonder why ya’ll are so fucked, lol.
Also, before you try to get “intelligent” on my ass, and produce some hard evidence such as that report, you should first learn how to read information charts and then produce one that will back your theory up, in which this one definitely DID NOT. According to the percentages in relations to the population of the U.S., and the population of Blacks vs. Whites on the crime report, I would say that crime reports pages look a little dark to me.

Imagine if one demographic group in America were 33 times more prone to commit crimes than another group. How would you feel about the relatively crime-prone group? The relatively crime-free group? Wouldn’t you want to know about such differences?
But we don’t have to imagine anything. The above contrast was not a hypothetical case, but rather the statistical relationship of black to Asian crime in America, as detailed in the ground-breaking new report, The Color of Crime [available here in PDF], released by the New Century Foundation, the organization that sponsors American Renaissance magazine.
* “… between 2001 and 2003, blacks were 39 times more likely to commit violent crimes against whites than the reverse, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.”
* Between 2001 and 2003, blacks committed, on average, 15,400 black-on-white rapes per year, while whites averaged only 900 white-on-black rapes per year.
* “Of the nearly 770,000 violent interracial crimes committed every year involving blacks and whites, blacks commit 85 percent and whites commit 15 percent.”
But there are five-and-one-half as many whites as blacks. If anything, the numbers should be reversed. After all, as leftists always tell us, all groups are supposed to be equally represented in all categories, for good or ill. (Well, not really. Leftists never call on the NBA and NFL to institute racial parity for white players.)
* Nationally, youth gangs are 90 percent non-white. “Hispanics are 19 times more likely than whites to be members of youth gangs. Blacks are 15 times more likely, and Asians are nine times more likely.”
* The only crime category in which Asians are more heavily represented than whites is illegal gambling.
* “Blacks commit more violent crime against whites than against blacks. Forty-five percent of their victims are white, 43 percent are black, and 10 percent are Hispanic. When whites commit violent crime, only three percent of their victims are black.”
But how can that be, when for years commentators of all political persuasions have insisted that the majority of the victims of black crime were themselves black? But it has been true for some time, because blacks increasingly target whites based on the color of the latter’s skin. The commentators have been guilty variously of lying and laziness.
* Far from being guilty of “racially profiling” innocent blacks, police have been exercising racial bias on behalf of blacks, arresting fewer blacks than their proportion of criminals: “… blacks who committed crimes that were reported to the police were 26 percent less likely to be arrested than people of other races who committed the same crimes.”
* “… police are determined to arrest non-black rather than black criminals.” (I have seen this practice in operation on the streets and subways of New York.)
* “[Blacks] are eight times more likely than people of other races to rob someone, for example, and 5.5 times more likely to steal a car.”
Well, as everyone knows, innocent blacks get rounded up by the police all the time, so we can safely ignore such statistics. After all, isn’t that what the NAACP, Village Voice, New York Times, and countless black “activists” and prominent academics have been saying for years? After all, although the folks insisting on racial profiling have no facts to back up their claims, they enjoy political prestige and moral authority. The Color of Crime, meanwhile, is based merely on lowly facts. As we shall see, prominent people are already saying that we should ignore The Color of Crime, because it wasn’t produced by the right sort of people. (And of course, “the right sort of people” doesn’t tell the truth about race and crime.)
* Charges of racial profiling, which maintain that police target innocent black motorists for traffic stops notwithstanding, a 2002 study by Maryland’s Public Service Research Institute found that police were stopping too few black speeders (23%), compared to their proportion of actual speeders (25%). In fact, “blacks were twice as likely to speed as whites” in general, and there was an even higher frequency of black speeders in the 90-mph and higher range.
* “… the only evidence for police bias is disproportionate arrest rates for those groups police critics say are the targets of bias. High black arrest rates appear to reflect high crime rates, not police misconduct.”
* Blacks not only commit violent crimes at far higher rates than non-blacks, but their crimes are more violent than those of whites. Blacks are three times as likely as non-blacks to commit assault with guns, and twice as likely as non-blacks to commit assault with knives.
* Blacks not only commit violent crimes at far higher rates than whites, but blacks commit “white collar” offenses — fraud, bribery, racketeering and embezzlement, respectively — at two to five times the white rate.
* The single greatest indicator of an area’s crime rate is not poverty or education, but race and ethnicity. Even when one controls for income and education, the black crime rate is much higher than the white rate.
Things are actually much worse than the above notes suggest. As The Color of Crime notes, the feds inflate white crime statistics by counting Hispanic offenders as white; at the same time, “Hispanics are a [hate crime] victim category but not a perpetrator category. If someone attacks a Mexican for racial reasons, he becomes a Hispanic victim of a hate crime. However, if the same Mexican commits a hate crime against a black, he is classified as a ‘white’ perpetrator. Even more absurdly, if a Mexican commits a hate crime against a white, both victim and perpetrator are reported as white.” Thus, the number of white perpetrators is bloated, while the number of white victims is constricted by the federal double-standard.
But things are even worse than the study shows. It fails to note, with black-on-white male prison rape an institutionalized sport among black inmates, that hundreds of thousands of white men have thus been victimized but never counted by the government. Meanwhile, white-on-black male prison rape is virtually non-existent.
Some of the study’s many sources were the FBI’s uniform crime reports (UCRs); the feds’ National Crime Victimization Study (NCVS), in which 149,000 people across the country, in statistical proportion to all demographic groups, were called; the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS); Supplemental Homicide Reports (SHRs); State Court Processing Statistics (SCPS); National Youth Gang Survey; Federal Justice Statistics Program (FJSP); and National Corrections Reporting Program (NCRP). The succinct report slays dragons in the course of mere footnotes, such as its nailing of tenured California State University criminology professor Phyllis B. Gerstenfeld, who in her book Hate Crimes: Causes, Controls and Controversies, the reality of interracial violence be damned, depicted whites only as perpetrators, and not as the victims of hate crimes.
The Color of Crime — not to be confused with a 1998 piece of propaganda of the same name by tenured University of Maryland professor of criminology, Katheryn K. Russell — is the most scientifically rigorous research on crime and race available. It’s the state of the art.
The mainstream media will surely be anxious to publicize and discuss The Color of Crime. After all, hasn’t the public been inundated since the late 1990s (and ultimately, since the 1960s) with dubious charges of racism (”racial profiling”) against law enforcement and the justice system? And don’t the MSM always tell us that they will report on anything newsworthy? After all, the New York Times claims to be “the newspaper of record.”
In a future column, we shall see just how the MSM has responded to The Color of Crime.
In any event, the report gave in precise numbers what any sentient being over the age of twenty and living in the United States has long known. A 75-year-old Irish neighbor of mine is a retired nurse who was run out of a once-lovely Brooklyn neighborhood forty years ago by “integration” (read: brazen black crime in broad daylight). During a friendly conversation during a quiet morning on our peaceful street last spring she said, “The problem is … you know what the problem is.”
Apparently, others in America see what I see…just not the Blacks. Of course, you will never admit it or accept it for it is your faults. This will be an ongoing battle until the end. Do you know that every multi racial society in history has fallen on the basis of race? This is not new. Hey, and by the way if you still don’t understand the chart, the total population of the U.S. is over 300 million. The white population is over 200 million and the black population is about 30 million. If 30 million of the people out ouf 300 million is responsible for 33.9% then that means that the 30 million is reasponsible for 33.9% of the total of crimes in 300 million people. Also, 200 million is responsible for 28.8% percent of the crimes out of 300 million, who do you think is the group commiting the most crimes? Uh, DUH! Blacks are almost seven times as likely to commit a crime than whites! Sheesh! Go back to school man!
Awww…you’re mad, aren’t you? Let me simplify it for you. Most violent crimes are committed by…? C’mon, you can do it. Let’s see 3 million+ violent crimes by whites, 500,000 violent crimes by blacks. This means that the average citizen has a greater chance of being victimized by a white person as opposed to a black person. I can read a chart but, I can also think for myself. Try it — it’s liberating.

You have your ways and I have mine. If you won’t listen then I will just have to stop explaining. If you don’t want to except the truth, I can’t make you. Maybe you cant see what’s going on because you are on the outside looking in. Blacks are messing it up really bad for themselves in American society, I know you probably see it, but you don’t want to accept it. I don’t care about what they do, as long as it is not on my space. Any post that I put up, you will just disagree with me and that will be it. But let me ask you something, if there was an oppurtunity for all of the blacks in the U.S. to go and live their lives in Africa, would you go? Now remember it won’t be like living here, it will be alot more uncomfortable than America. Maybe that is the answer
to the problem. Because unfortunately you all think that you have it bad here. Also, I was getting a little frustrated, because I explained that report, over and over and even did the math for you, and you still could not see the light. If you can’t or don’t want to understand 6 out of 8 catagories that blacks had a higher percentage, from a smaller populace then I can’t make you. You refuse to take that as the truth. I don’t know where you are getting this 3 million white crime vs. 500,000 black crime stuff, but it is not accurate. Out of 302 million people, if 13 percent of that, 39 million blacks commit 33.9 percent of the countries crimes, and 200 million million whites commit only 28.8 of the total crimes, then that would mean that a smaller 13% would have commited more crime then the 200 million by far. Let’s say that the number of crimes in America are 100 million a year(hypothetically speaking) then 33.9% percent of that would be 33,900,000. Also, 28.8 percent of 100 million would be 28,800,000. 33,900,000 black crimes would be more than the 28,800,000 white crimes. Also, the larger black crime amount would be from the population of 39 million people out of 100 million, the the smaller white crime amount would be from the 200 million people out of 300 million people. That means that that out of 100 million crimes, 60,100,000 crimes are NOT commited by blacks; and 71,200,000 are NOT commited by whites. My friend, 71 million is a higher number of crimes, NOT commited whites, so that means that the blacks are commiting 11,100,000 more crimes than the whites from a population not even 1/4 the size of whites. That means that blacks are doing almost 6 times the crimes of whites. That means for every 100 crimes, blacks would do 6 crimes and whites would do 1. That’s a big, big difference seeing that there are 200 million whites and only 39 million blacks. That’s astounding! This will be my last explanation, if you don’t accept it then I won’t explain anymore, and we would probably go back and forth and it will never end. I’m sure we both can doing something alot more progressive than wasting time typing these post. If you don’t I know I do.
